Memorial services celebrating the life of Patricia Cantin, age 61, of Plato, took place Friday, Nov. 21 at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe. Patricia died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at her home.
Patricia Diane (Swenson) Cantin was born April 17, 1947, in Waconia, the daughter of Bernard and Bertha (Hein) Swenson. She graduated from Waconia High School and went on to attend beauty school.
Patricia was united in marriage with Douglas Cantin Nov. 8, 1969, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Over the years, Patricia lived in Waconia, Winsted, Lester Prairie, and Plato. She worked for Medallion Kitchens of Waconia from the mid-1980s until December of 2007.
In her free time, Patricia enjoyed flower gardening, plants, and cross stitch. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Douglas.
She is survived by her children, Matthew Cantin (wife Rachelle) of Mound, and Nicole Lutsch (husband Sean) of Sartell; grandchildren Brendan, Noah and Abbie Lutsch, and Christopher Boder; sister Sandra Fincham (husband Gary) of Adairsville, GA; brother Bernard Swenson (wife Joanne) of Plymouth; special friend Robert Anderson of Plato; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Officiating at the 2 p.m. funeral service was the Rev. Richard Mark. A gathering of family and friends took place one hour prior to the service.
