Joseph “Joe” Richard Casey Obituary – 06/16/08

Joseph “Joe” Richard Casey, age 62, of Montrose, died suddenly Monday, June 16, 2008, in Bloomington.

He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Howard Lake, to William and Bessie (Sanford) Casey.

Joe loved fishing and spending time with his family. After becoming disabled, he also loved to watch his judge shows – mainly “Judge Judy.” He had a wonderful sense of humor and was one of a kind! Anyone that had met him couldn’t help but like him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Casey; and siblings Margie Seifeldt, Mary (Don) Klugow, and Michael Casey.

Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Joann (nee Willemsen) Casey; children Lisa (Scott) Davis of Hosmer, S.D., Shelly (Tony) Velde, and Bob (Carey) Casey, all of Montrose; grandchildren Brittany, Breann, Kaylee, and Lindsey; siblings Pat (Gladys) Casey, Betty (Herbert) Krienke, and Thomas (Hazel) Casey; and many other relatives and good friends.

A memorial service took place Friday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo, with visitation one hour prior to the start of the service.

The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family. Online condolences may be made at www.thepetersonchapel.com
