Shirley B. Felt

Shirley B. Felt, age 69, of Waconia, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.

She was born Jan. 4, 1939, in New Germany, the daughter of Theodore H. and Viola (Vahl) Briesemeister. Shirley was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth O. Felt June 16, 1957, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown Township.

Shirley was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She loved to go snowmobiling, four wheeling, camping, do craftwork, and go to the Elko Speedway.

Shirley worked at McDonalds for many years.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth O. Felt Jr.; father and mother, Theodore and Viola Briesemeister; brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Renate Briesemeister; father-in-law Oscar Felt; and nephew Lester Briesemeister.

Shirley is survived by her loving family: husband Kenneth; children and spouses, Rick and Christa Felt of Norwood Young America, Roxanne and Mark Fick of Victoria, Randy Felt of Waconia, Robin Kampen of Eden Prairie, Ronda and Chris Miller of Golden Valley, Russell Felt and special friend Kelly of Annandale, and Kimberly and Bruce Grimm of Waconia; grandchildren Christian, Charity and special friend Kris, Adam, Angela, Derrick and wife Jessica, Jerrod, Chenelle and special friend Roy, Ashley and fiancé Chris, Caitlin, Chelsea, Luke, Dustin, Brandon, and Breanna; and a great-granddaughter, Josie.

She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Ruby Felt of Watertown; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Melvin Giese of Watertown, and Ronald and Judy Felt of Rochester; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service took place Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Peace in Norwood Young America with the Rev. Lynda A. Johnson officiating. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Waconia.

Casket bearers were Shirley’s sons and sons-in-law, Rick Felt, Randy Felt, Russell Felt, Mark Fick, Chris Miller, and Bruce Grimm.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia.
