Randy Lee Fritz

Randy Lee Fritz, age 46, of Bloomington, formerly of Norwood Young America, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home.

He was born July 29, 1961, in Glencoe, the son of Bradley Fritz and Arlene (Ische) Fritz. Randy was baptized Aug. 20, 1961, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America by the Rev. R.L. Reith; and later confirmed in the faith at the same church March 23, 1975 by the Rev. H. Fry.

Randy graduated from Central High School in 1979.

He worked in sales for various industries, including aviation parts, commercial refrigeration, and shipping.

Randy has lived in Eagan and Bloomington. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America.

Randy enjoyed fishing, music, electronics, antiques and studying history. He had a great sense of humor and the ability to bring a smile to everyone. He was the best uncle anyone could have.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Connie Hoernemann (husband Bruce) of Norwood Young America; brothers Danny Fritz of Norwood Young America, and Tom Fritz (wife Sue) of Lester Prairie; nieces and nephews Ryan Hoernemann (wife Jess) of Otsego, Ross Hoernemann (fiancée Angela) of Hugo, Jenna Hoernemann of Norwood Young America, Jayme Fritz of Lester Prairie, Josh Fritz (wife Jo) of Duluth, and Katelyn Fritz of Lester Prairie; great nephew, Carter Fritz; his dog, Augie; as well as aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.

A memorial service celebrating his life took place Thursday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America with a time for gathering one hour prior to the service. The Rev. David Winter officiated. Brian Feltmann was the soloist, and music selections were “I Can Only Imagine” and “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone.” Interment was in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
