Ruth A. Goede, age 82, of Waconia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Waconia Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. James Wilk officiating. Interment is at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia.
Visitation is Monday, Aug. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia, with a chapel service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Casket bearers are sons and grandchildren Larry Goede, John Goede, Emily Goede, Jacob Goede, Matthew Goede, and Alex Goede.

Ruth was born April 20, 1926, in Howard Lake, to Albert and Emilie (Froh) Schrupp. She was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.
Ruth was united in marriage to Willard F. Goede Aug. 21, 1945, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake by the Rev. Carl Seltz.
Numerous people remember Ruth working years ago at the Paradise and Carver ballrooms. Throughout the years, she sold Avon, Sarah Coventry jewelry, and was a Realtor.
She loved going to garage sales, and playing cards, especially Black Jack. Ruth and Willard also spent time going to flea markets, buying and selling various goods, and loved being with their many friends playing cards and going to the casinos.
Ruth loved to spend time listening to old tyme music and going dancing. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma.
Ruth had been living at Waconia Good Samaritan Center since January of 2004. Previously, she lived in Waconia, Mayer, and New Germany, making many friends at each location.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; father and mother Albert and Emilie Schrupp; sister Lorraine Schrupp; father-in-law and mother-in-law Julius and Ida Goede; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Harold and Hilma Goede, and Norman and Clara Goede.
Ruth is survived by her most loving family: sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Sue Goede of Waconia, and John and Lisa Goede of New Germany; grandchildren Emily Goede and friend Brian Roy, Jacob Goede and friend Erica Waibel, Matthew Goede, and Alex Goede; sisters and brothers-in-law Darlene and Roger Wells of Park Rapids, and Alice and Miles Wells of Apple Valley; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
