Dennis R. Hanson, age 50, of Delano, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at his home in Delano after a courageous battle with heart failure.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4 at 3 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano with the Revs. Brian Dent and Douglas Dent officiating. Interment will be at Delano Public Cemetery.
Visitation will take place today, March 3, from 4 to 8 p.m., and will continue Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m., all at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Jarred Dalbec, John Czanstkowski Jr., Tyler Hanson, Mike Jaunich, Shawn Lynch, and Shon Thole.
Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Dennis was born May 24, 1957, to Raymond and Myrtle (Smith) Hanson in Minneapolis.
Dennis loved his Harley. He enjoyed being a member of ABATE, spending time with friends riding, and collecting anything to do with Harley. He was a skilled card player. Cribbage and, recently, hearts were favorite games to be enjoyed with family. He had a sense of humor which would could catch people off guard.
During this past year of challenges with his health, Dennis never complained. He accepted his condition with courage and dignity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Krotzer and Ray Hanson; his brother, Daniel; and a nephew, Quentin Dalbec.
Dennis is survived by his siblings, Marguerite and John Czanstkowski, Vickie and Thomas Dalbec, Goody and Joe Stanislawski, and Danny and Emma Hanson; stepfather Ralph and Ralcie Krotzer; stepbrother Mark and Deb Krotzer; stepsister Lynn Krotzer; 16 nieces and nephews: Jarred Dalbec, Darrek Dalbec, Tregg and Vicki Dalbec; Matthew Dalbec, Treston Dalbec, Renee and Mike Jaunich, Cindy and Shawn Lynch, John and Kara Czanstkowski, Julie Czanstkowski, Krista Czanstkowski, Chris and Shon Thole, Susie and Chris Austin, Casey Johnson, Tyler Hanson, Erin Hanson, and Jacki Hanson; and 11, almost 12, great nieces and nephews.
