Douglas Keith Henderson, age 40, of Rockford, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, after losing his battle with colon cancer.
He was born June 27, 1967, in Chaska, to Keith and Shirley (nee Rolf) Henderson. They moved to Montrose in the early 1980s, and Doug attended high school in Buffalo.
Doug worked for a time at the Wave Car Wash in St. Louis Park. For many years, he was employed at Scoville Press in Plymouth. Since 2003, Doug worked at R.R. Donnelley in Maple Grove.
Doug married Heidi Moe Aug. 6, 2004, at the St. Michael Trinity Chapel.
He enjoyed reading, playing disc golf, and board games. He was especially grateful for the time he got to spend with his family.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Heidi, and their small children, Sophie and James; father Keith Henderson of Montrose; siblings: Paula (Jeff) Sandstrom of Forest Lake, Jonathan (Kathi) Henderson of Annandale, and Robyn Henderson of Rockford; parents-in-law Roger and Katherine Moe; sister-in-law Amy (Joe) Sigsworth, all of Clear Lake, Wis.; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and a grandniece.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his grandparents.
A memorial service took place Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel Buffalo, preceded by visitation, which began at 11:30 a.m.
