Delores Helen Kieser, age 77, of Montrose, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown.
She was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Winsted, the daughter of Leo J. and Rosalia M. “Rose” Remer Habisch.
Delores and Clemens J. Kieser were joined in holy marriage Oct. 16, 1948, at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
Delores was formerly employed at Tonka Toys and at The Radisson South.
She enjoyed playing bingo and going to casinos. She was also fond of crafts, especially crocheting, and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delores belonged to The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (Jim) Lachermeier of St. Cloud, Renee (James) Lauzer of Howard Lake, and Anna Wahl of Montrose; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon (Kathy) Habisch of Montrose; sisters Lucy (Harvey) Rehmann of Winsted, and Geri Jacques of Delano and special friend Mike Mallak; sisters-in-law Arlene Kieser and Rosemary Lamont; and other relatives and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Clemens J. Kieser; a son, Dennis A. Kieser; a grandson, Chad; and by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Cloutier was the celebrant, and interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Craig Maas, Cory Wahl, Curt Schwalbe, Jason Lachermeier, Paul Horsch, Dennis Welter, and Brandon Maas.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
