Clarence F. Kline, age 80, of Litchfield, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of St. John in Darwin with Father Patrick Casey as celebrant.There will be visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church, with a Knights of Columbus rosary prayed before the service. Interment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Darwin, with military honors provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.

Clarence was born Jan. 31, 1928, to Louis and Mildred (Doyle) Kline in Darwin. He lived on a farm north of Darwin all his life with his brother, Joseph. Clarence learned farming from his great uncle, William Roberts, and took over the farm with Joe upon William’s death.
Clarence also had a trucking business, and enjoyed working for his friends and neighbors in the surrounding community.
He was a lifelong member of the Church of St. John in Darwin, a member of the Litchfield Knights of Columbus, and served in the US Army.
After a lifetime of farming, Clarence retired with his brother, Joe, to the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred; his brother, Joseph; and his nephew, John.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Kline of Rochester; three nieces; and four nephews. He also has relatives of the Doyle family in Saskatchewan, Canada.
