Judith Alice Latzke, age 64, of Minneapolis, formerly of Lester Prairie, died Saturday, March 15, 2008.
She was born May 14, 1943, in Lester Prairie, the daughter of Leonard and Florence (Dittmar) Latzke.
She attended Lester Prairie High School, and was a past member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Judith had lived in Lester Prairie, California, and the Minneapolis area. She was a very creative seamstress and had worked as a designer for a small company in Cambria, Calif. She had also worked as a waitress in Mound, and at various other jobs. Whatever she did, co-workers remember her hard work ethic and dedication.
Judith enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and collecting stuffed dolls. She was a very simple person who enjoyed friendships with those around her.
For the last number of years, she had been a resident of Hope Harbor and Harbor Lights of Minneapolis.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter.
She is survived by her loving son, Patrick Latzke of Cambria, Calif.; sisters, Karen and Darrell Tackett of Saratoga, Calif., and Joan and Roger Voss of Hutchinson; a brother, David and Norah Latzke of Cave Junction, Ore.; aunts Alice Safir of Norwalk, Conn., and Clara Latzke of Lester Prairie; nieces; nephews; and many cousins.
A graveside service took place Thursday, March 20 at 2:15 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie with the Rev. Eric Nelson officiating.
Arrangements were with the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie.
