Florence H. (Radde) Loehrs, age 95, of Watertown, died Saturday July 5, 2008, at the Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park.
Florence was born May 16, 1913, in Hollywood Township, Carver County, the daughter of Arthur B. and Martha (Rieck) Schultz. She was baptized in June of 1913 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hollywood Twp., by the Rev. Theodore Rolf; and confirmed May 15, 1927, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany by the Rev. Theodore Rolf.
Florence was united in marriage to Oscar R. Radde Oct. 25, 1938, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany by Rev. Theordore Rolf. Oscar passed away Oct. 8, 1968.
Florence was united in marriage to Martin C. Loehrs June 24, 1977, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by the Rev. Donald Taylor.
Florence was active in her church and the Watertown community. She had many talents and interests including, playing Bridge, dancing, gardening, cooking, and loving all creatures especially dogs. She was a great friend and neighbor, and her lemon meringue pie was “world class.”
In addition to her first husband, Oscar, Florence was preceded in death by husband Martin Loehrs; twin daughter Paulette Radde; parents Arthur and Martha Schultz; and brothers William “Bill’ Schultz and Edwin Schultz.
Florence is survived by her loving family: daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bryce Johnson of Orono; niece Maureen Noerenberg of Watertown; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service took place Thursday July 10 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with visitation for one hour preceding the service at the church. The Rev. Paul Krentz officiated. Interment was at the Watertown Public Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Ryan Litfin, Randy Litfin, Eric Anderson, and Ross Formell.
