Elizabeth M. Mochinske Obituary – 01/21/08


Elizabeth M. Mochinske, age 83, of Winsted Township, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

She was born May 25, 1924, in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of Albert and Helena Kieser Loebertmann Sr.

In June of 1948, Elizabeth Loebertmann and Ben Mochinske were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.  God blessed their marriage with two sons.

Elizabeth enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, and dairy farming.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons, James A. Mochinske and Robert B. (Debra) Mochinske, all of Winsted; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Darrel) Borka of Hutchinson, Laura (Jason) Overstreet of Virginia Beach, and Virginia and Bobbie (Paulo) Saghi of Hutchinson, Kan.; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Grace, and Addison Borka, Julianna and Ben Saghi, and Jennie Overstreet; brothers “Sonny” (Marge) Loebertmann and Clem Loebertmann; sisters Rosemary Reardon and Lucille (Fritz) Oberding; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Mochinske March 28, 2003; and by six siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Brian Oestreich was the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Friends called Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.

Honorary casket bearers were Joanne Snegosky, Karen Snegosky, and Sue Snegosky.

Casket bearers were Ken Snegosky, David Snegosky, Jaclyn Borka, Laura Overstreet, Bobbie Saghi, and Darrel Borka.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
