Barbara Joan (Dropp) Otto Obituary – 11/21/08


Barbara Joan (Dropp) Otto, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to many, age 66, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 21, 2008.

Visitation will be Friday, Dec 5 at 10 a.m., with a Mass at 11 a.m at the Parish Community of St. Joseph, 8701 36th Ave N, New Hope, MN.

Barbara lived life to the fullest with a great love for God and family. Her faith led her to become a Stephen’s Minister, where she gave so much to others.

She especially enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren, and will be remembered for her tea parties, Halloween, Easter, and Christmas gatherings, as well as trips to Florida, California, and Colorado. She was a wonderful faith-filled woman.

Barbara is survived by her loving family, husband Francis Otto; children Maggie Heilmann (Peter), John Matenaer (Lisa), Steve Matenaer (Lauri), and David Matenaer (Kristine); grandchildren Chrissie, Kellie, Natalie, Cole, Anna, Maddie, Nikki, Sam, Ian, and Gabe; mother Lorraine Dropp; sisters Judy Johns, Lori Peltier, and Mary Bamke; and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Dropp; and brother Dickey Dropp.

Barbara was loved and adored by all who knew her.
