Lillian B. Peterman, age 86, of Victoria, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at her home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Waconia, the daughter of Otto and Lydia (Splettstoesser) Gast. Lillian was baptized Jan. 9, 1922, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by the Rev. William F. Schneider, and confirmed by the same pastor March 21, 1937.
Lillian was married to Harold W. Peterman April 9, 1942, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by the Rev. William F. Schneider.
Lillian enjoyed gardening and working with flowers, one of her favorites being peonies. She also took great pleasure in playing cards and embroidering. She also cherished sitting out on the porch and watching the clouds go by, loved giving hugs, and was an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents Otto and Lydia Gast; brother Clarence Gast; and sister Lucille Gast.
Lillian is survived by her son, Roger (Pauline) Peterman of Waconia; granddaughter Kelley (Scott) Boardman of Orono; brothers and sisters-in-law Edwin and Mary Gast of New Mexico, and Alvin and Elaine Gast of Waconia; sister Lorna Schmieg of St. Louis Park; sisters-in-law Verna Peterman of Watertown, and Doris Campbell of Elk River; Aunt Myrtle Splettstoesser of Waconia; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Wednesday March 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. Peter Peitsch officiating. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Ted Splettstoesser, Ron Gothmann, Dave Segner, Brian Schmieg, Jackie Davis, and Scott Boardman.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
