Mary Mabel Reardon, age 77, of Waverly, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Glencoe, the daughter of Raymond “Ray” and Mabel Baumgarten Rauschendorfer.
Mary graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1949.
She was joined in holy marriage to Joseph D. Reardon Feb. 1, 1951, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano. God blessed their marriage with two daughters.
Mary enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, pan fishing, scary movies, and cooking shows. She was an excellent cook!
Mary was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph D. Reardon; daughters Karen Ann (George) Foede of Two Harbers, and Cindy Jo (Wayne) Boman of Waverly; five grandchildren: Skip Johnson and Shannon Benalshaikh, Bryce Boman, Bryan Boman and Evan Boman; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mavis (Frank) Stieve of Pequot Lakes; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mabel Rauschendorfer; and by a brother, Donald Rauschendorfer.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Cloutier was the celebrant, and interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, Sept. 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
Casket bearers were Mary’s grandchildren Skip Johnson, Shannon Benalshaikh, Bryce Boman, Bryan Boman and Evan Boman; and a nephew, Allen Stieve.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
