Perry Alan Robeck, age 42, of Loretto, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital from heart failure.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, July 23 at 5 p.m. at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, with visitation for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Perry was born Aug. 22, 1965, to Loren and Irmgard (Annie) Robeck of Loretto.
He was a 1983 graduate of Rockford High School.
On July 13, 1985, Perry broke his neck in a diving accident that left him a quadriplegic. He spent years in Courage Center for rehabilitation.
Perry lived in Minneapolis, went to school, and worked at Target in customer service. He was always thankful that he lived, and dreamed of the day that there would be a cure. Perry focused on his abilities, not his disabilities.
He is survived by his mother, Irmgard, of Loretto: sisters Charlotte Saclolo of Mound, Marlene (Dave) Socher of Delano, and Theresa Robeck of Hinckley; brother Randy Robeck of Rockford; and nieces and nephews Anna, Marilyn, and Manuel Saclolo, Mike and Tony Socher, and Richard Robeck.
Perry was preceded in death by his father, Loren; an infant brother, Peter; a brother-in-law, Anthony Saclolo; and grandparents Leo and Emily Valerius Robeck of St. Michael, and Joseph and Maria Singer Bohm of Germany.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
