Stanley E. Anderson, age 78, of Gotha, passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2008 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
Stanley was born on October 16, 1929 in Glencoe, Minn. to Emil and Ella (Bergman) Anderson.
Stanley participated in amateur radio emergency services for Carver County; his call letters were N0OZS. He was instrumental in organizing Southern Land Owners Alliance of MN and MN Power Groups to fight unneeded power lines and hazardous waste.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stanley owned and operated Karen Ray Studio’s and Kountry Rec. Sales. Stanley was a lifelong member of West Union Lutheran Church being a 4th generation parishioner.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Ella Anderson, infant sister Charlotte.
Stanley is survived by his loving family; son and daughter-in-law Dean and Tonie Anderson of Cologne; daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Bill Halquist of Belle Plaine; grandchildren Chris Stanley, Mike Stanley, and Whitney Halquist; sister and brother-in-law Helen and Edward Ballman of Cloquet; niece and nephews Elaine Ballman, Edward Ballman, David Ballman, and many friends.
Funeral service was held on Saturday August 2 at West Union Lutheran Church in Carver with Rev. David Knox officiating.
Casket Bearers were Larry Zellmann, Tom Stuewe, Kevin Abraham, Pat Morrison, Stan Gunn, and Tom Carlson.
