Angela M. (Angie) Solomon, age 32, of Cologne, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.
Angie was born June 23, 1975, in Waconia, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Ruth M. (Hartke) Koch. She was baptized Aug. 13, 1975, and confirmed May 7, 1989, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by the Rev. Robert Schaeffer.
Angie was united in marriage to Jeremy W. Solomon Oct. 23, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by the Rev. Dean Mahlum.
She graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School, and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Catherine’s College.
A loving wife, mom, daughter, and sister, Angie was a collector of “Disney” memorabilia, Longerberger baskets, and enjoyed scrap booking projects. She was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan.
She remained a fighter of her illness, cystic fibrosis, and was a volunteer participant in CF research and education.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Leslie Solomon; grandparents, George Hartke, and Victor and Dorothy Koch; uncle Curtis Koch; and aunt Gloria Leighton.
She is survived by her loving family: husband Jeremy; daughter Leslie; mother and father, Ruth and Ken Koch of Waconia; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Larry Wickenhauser of Cologne; brother K. C. Koch and his fiancée, Gina Ward of Waconia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sherri and Steve Solomon of Maple Grove; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Adam and Melissa Solomon of Milaca, and Michael Solomon of Maple Grove; grandparents Rosella Hartke of Wood Lake, Charles and Doris Solomon of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Frank Lindstrom of Maple Grove, and Larry and Patricia Robberstad of Aitkin; four nephews; one niece; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives; and many friends.
The funeral service was Sunday, April 6 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with the Rev. Peter Peitsch officiating. Interment is at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia.
Casket bearers were Brian Koch, Robert Bunn Jr., Jeff Hartke, Garrett Helling, Bruce Clark, and Justin Heal.
