Marilyn Jane Thiele, age 69, of Litchfield, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield.
She was born Sept. 11, 1938, in Cokato, the daughter of Reynold and Minnie (Simonson) Granquist. She grew up and received her education in Cokato.
Marilyn was confirmed at North Crow River Lutheran Church.
She was united in marriage to Lyle Thiele Jan. 25, 1956, in Wayzata. They lived in Minneapolis and St. Paul until 1961, when they moved to Cokato. They then moved to Brooklyn Park in 1979, and to Litchfield in 1996.
Marilyn worked for National School Studios in the Twin Cities.
She enjoyed boating, fishing, and being able to spend time with her family.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Bryan (and Tammy) Thiele, Anthony Thiele, all of Litchfield, and Gary (and Gail) Thiele of Montrose; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Elaine (and Wallace) MacDonald of Minneapolis, and Mae (and Arnold) Evenski of Dassel; and one brother, Michael (and Lynn) Granquist of Cokato.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lyle.
Funeral service was Monday, March 10 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Worthington officiating. Visitation preceded the funeral service for one hour. Interment was in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
The Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield handled the arrangements.
