Mardella Mae Walker, age 67, of Montrose, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Rev. Timothy Cloutier will officiate, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, and will continue Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casket bearers will be Jayson Moore, Jake Golden, Joshua Walker, Eric Walker, Nathan Schlosser, and Sara Lee Timm.
Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Mardella was born Sept. 1, 1941, to Otto and Ruth (Mayer) Gunther in Ellendale, ND.
She enjoyed her old time music. Wherever there was old time music being played, Mardella would call her friend, David Wanus, and they would take off and go dancing. Mardella also enjoyed seeing different polka Masses at various Catholic churches.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ruth Gunther; her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandparents; a grandson; and several aunts and uncles.
Mardella is survived by her children, Debora and Vince Golden, Pamela and Dan Kyllingstad, Carolyn and Bruce Timm, Michael John Walker, and Alan Russel Walker; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
