Kay Marie Anderson, age 59, of Cokato, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
She was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Cokato to Manfred and Edna (Kauppinen) Anderson. Kay grew up in Stockholm Township, and was baptized and confirmed at the Stockholm Lutheran Church.
She graduated from Cokato High School in 1969.
Kay worked at Functional Industries, the Cokato Manor, and, her favorite job, helping her brother, Dennis, make deliveries for French Lake Auto Parts in “The Anderson Express.”
She enjoyed knitting, reading, and driving around. Kay was very fond of her parakeet, William; country music, soap operas, and playing solitaire on the computer, and “HedgeHog” on the PlayStation.
Kay enjoyed people. She liked to visit, and was a good mother.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Dennis.
She is survived by her son, Allan, of Cokato; aunt Florence Anderson of Cokato; and cousins.
The funeral service took place Monday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at Stockholm Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
