Marie Evangeline Boline, age 80, of Cokato, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at the Cokato Manor.
She was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Meeker County, the daughter of Salem and Agnes (Wirtz) Dahl. Marie grew up in the Watkins area and graduated from Kimball High School.
She was united in marriage to Gilbert Boline.
During her life, Marie lived in Watkins, Litchfield, and Cokato, where she was a hairdresser, a bookkeeper at the Watkins Creamery, and a home healthcare aide for Meeker County Public Health.
She was an active member of Ostmark Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She was also a member of the Wat-Kim-Valley Post 5460 VFW Auxiliary.
Marie enjoyed flowers and gardening, spending time with children, and fishing. She loved to visit and entertain family and friends and always had the coffee on.
She is survived by her brother, Erv (and Racheal) Dahl of Brooklyn Center; special friends Bev (and Carl) Boline Rokala of Dassel; godchildren Cindy Rokala Miller (wife of the late Torey Miller) of Dassel; Stephanie (and Jim) Rokala Cappelleri of Delano; and several nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Salem and Agnes; husband Gilbert; a brother, Elmer; an infant brother; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at the Ostmark Lutheran Church, Forest City Township, with the Rev. Jack Torgersen and Pastor Al Jones officiating. Interment was in the Ostmark Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ostmark Lutheran Church, and continued Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
