Roger Lee Cargill, age 59, of Annandale, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at the Buffalo Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1949, in Fairmont to Ervin and Gloria (Stueve) Cargill.
A 1967 graduate of Osseo High School, Roger has lived at Annandale since 1987.
He enjoyed being an independent truck driver, and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, derby car racing, practical jokes, and his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his longtime companion, Sharon Huikko of Annandale; son Dallas of Shakopee; daughter Dusty Ruff (Jason) of Jordan; four grandchildren, Austin, Dakota, Noah, and Mikah; mother Gloria of Cokato; grandmother, Harriet Edwards of Wanamingo; twin brother, Richard of Annandale; sister Rebecca Matheson (Al) of Blaine; sister-in-law Jane Cargill of Annandale; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; stillborn sister Robin; and brother Randy.
The funeral service was Monday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Care chapel in Annandale, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Andrews officiated, and interment followed at Grace Southside Cemetery, Annandale.
Pallbearers were John, Brad, Sal and Dakota Cargill, Al and Mike Matheson, and Jason Ruff. Noah and Mikah Ruff were honorary pallbearers.
