Mavis F. Connors, age 88, of St. Bonifacius, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the St. Mary’s Senior Living Center in Winsted.
Mass of Christian burial was Monday June 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius with Father Tom Balluff as celebrant of the Mass. Final Resting place was at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Mavis was born March 5, 1921 in Casanovia, Wisc., the daughter of William and Anastacia (Walsh) Casey.
On June 15, 1942, she was united in marriage to James B. Connors at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church in Albert Lea.
Mavis was a loving wife and mother. She was a hard working and gentle woman who had a peaceful heart.
Mavis could entertain with the best of them; always making her guests feel at home.
Mavis was a member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She liked to sew in her younger years. Mavis and JB enjoyed dancing to Big Band music.
Mavis is preceded in death by her husband James, infant son William Thomas Connors, parents William and Anastacia Casey, and brother Patrick Casey.
Mavis is survived by her loving daughter, Connie, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Casket bearers were Jack Connors, Joel Schwartz, Don Whitcomb, Tom Whitcomb, Larry Bowman, and Kevin Weinzierl.
