Mary Ann, the daughter of Charles and Isabel (Pettigrew) Sullivan, was born May 2, 1924, in Winnipeg, Canada.
She grew up the Minneapolis area, and attended the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis.
Mary was united in marriage to Harold Craswell Oct. 4, 1944, at the Park Avenue Methodist Church in Minneapolis. They were blessed to be the parents of five children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Mary was curious, adventurous, and enjoyed many pastimes with her husband and family, from becoming a US citizen, being involved in local politics, real estate and property development, to farming, raising, showing and racing horses, hunting, rock hounding and making lapidary jewelry.
After retiring to Florida, she and Harold started a successful plant nursery, learned to shrimp, and crafted at the local art fairs.
They traveled to many countries and always enjoyed the time they spent with family and friends visits made for “the good life.”
Mary is survived by her daughters, Anna (Gary) Luoto of Dassel, and Gail (Walter) Cagney of Blue Ridge, GA; a son, Harold, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; daughters, Cynthia Hempel and Patricia Hastings; her parents; and her siblings.
