Harriet T. DuPont, age 87, of Rockford, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Funeral services will take place Monday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford with visitation for one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Michael Barlow will officiate, and interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Harriet’s great-grandchildren will be her casket bearers.
Arrangements are being handled by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Harriet was born June 2, 1921, to Clary and Millie (Florence) Eliason in Thief River Falls.
A member of Local 1145 and a longtime employee of Honeywell, Harriet was also a member of the Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford.
She served as the queen of the Delano Golden Living Center for 2008.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Alaric; parents Millie and Clary Eliason; brother Clary “Bud” Eliason; and granddaughter Tracy Ann DuPont.
She is survived by her children, Carnet and Joyce DuPont, and Lana (Don) Pivec; grandchildren Kim Pivec, Brent and Toni DuPont, Cory and Rachel Pivec, Sheri Pivec, and Darcy and Tom Almquist; great-grandchildren Danielle, Dustin, and Jake DuPont, April Pivec, Dillan and Callie Anderson, Luke and Ben Paulson, John and Daniel Pivec, and Brice, Zachary, and Griffin Almquist; sisters Mert and Dick Traynor, and Esther and Harlan Schultz; and brother Milen and Violette Eliason.
