Cloud A. Fasching, age 80, of Crystal, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 13, 2009.
He was born in Winsted Feb. 14, 1929, to Snyder and Marcella Fasching.
Cloud enjoyed being with people, socializing, and square dancing, both in Minnesota in the summer, and in Arizona in the winters. A jack of all trades, he enjoyed fixing and tinkering with diferent things.
He was a member of the Fr. William Blum Knights of Columbus Council 3656, and a longtime usher at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal.
Cloud was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hope Marie; his parents, Snyder and Marcella; and a brother, Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; sons Michael (Ellen) and Douglas (Mary); granddaughters Rose, Sara, and Callie; brothers Ardner and Robert (Mona); and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was Saturday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal, with the Rev. Jim Herrmann, OSC officiating. Interment was at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope.
Visitation was Friday, April 17, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers were Bill Fasching, Dan Fasching, Don Fasching, John Fasching, Gary Hanson, and David Calof.
Arrangements were by the Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel.
