Kenneth J. Fleischacker, age 79, of Winsted, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at the Auburn Home in Waconia.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Hesse will be the celebrant, and Alice Nowak will provide special music for the Mass.
Casket bearers will be Tyson Bergland, Zachary Bergland, Mitchell Lachermeier, Aaron Millerbernd, Spencer Radtke, and Adam Fleischacker. Honorary casket bearers will be Max Millerbernd, Jack Millerbernd, Jack Fleischacker, and Sam Fleischacker.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 4:30 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Kenneth was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Victor Township, Wright County, the son of Henry J. and Mary Laxen Fleischacker.
In 1948, Ken joined the US Army, where he honorably served his country.
Kenneth was joined in holy marriage with Elaine Zimmermann Nov. 25, 1950, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with nine children.
Ken was formerly employed at Mid-American Dairyman, Incorporated for 42 years, retiring March 1, 1995, as a supervisor.
He was known for his hard work, was well-liked and respected.
Ken was known for his dry sense of humor. He was firm, but always a gentleman.
He enjoyed walking around the city of Winsted, delivering flowers for Winsted Floral, and delivering Meals on Wheels.
Ken was a faithful, lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. He was also a member of VFW Post 9232, and Knights of Columbus Council 8253.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elaine Fleischacker; nine children: Connie (Dave) Kirking of Montevideo, Karen (Dale) Bergland of Victoria, Brad (Michelle) Fleischacker of Howard Lake, Bruce Fleischacker of West St. Paul, Todd (Pam) Fleischacker of Winsted, Scott (Lori) Fleischacker of Annandale, Kim (Rollie) Radtke of Lester Prairie, Amy Millerbernd and fiancé Collin Botner of Winsted, and Stacey (Philip) Neumann of Lester Prairie; 22 grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Fleischacker of California; sisters Clara Wiemiller of Winsted, Ramona Sauter of Wisconsin, and Patricia Peterson of New Mexico; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bernard, Henry “Hank,” and Anthony “Tony” Fleischacker; and by a sister, Luella “Lou” Zimmermann.
