Marlene Lois Frank, age 55, of Howard Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.
The funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake, with interment at Howard Lake Cemetery following the service.
Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and will continue Monday for one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
Marlene was born Aug. 27, 1954, at the Cokato Hospital, the daughter of Melvin and Marian Frank. She grew up on a farm southwest of Howard Lake.
She graduated from Howard Lake High School, followed by attendance at Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY. Following graduation from Elim, she remained in New York, working in several different office positions at the college.
She then moved back to Minnesota and worked as a kindergarten teacher, librarian, and caregiver.
Marlene enjoyed the piano and played for her own entertainment, as well as in church. She loved horses, had her own special horse as a teenager, and led trail rides while working at Andersen Livery. Her other interests were gardening, sewing, and needlecraft.
Marlene was preceded in death by her father, Melvin.
She is survived by her mother, Marian; and brother Milan.
