Margaret “Margo,” Lucille Dahlin Howe, age 85 of Northfield, formerly of Cokato, died Monday, May 25, 2009, at Parkview East of the Northfield Retirement Community in Northfield, after three years of deteriorating health.
The funeral service will be Monday, June 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Northfield Retirement Community Chapel with the Rev. Diane Goulson officiating. Music will be provided by Jonathan Thorson, Tonia Thorson, and Maxine Amundson.
Memorials are preferred to the NRC Chapel Fund.
Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield.
Margaret was born April 25, 1924, in Cokato, to Albin and Mabel (Schilt) Dahlin. Margaret was baptized and confirmed at Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church, and graduated from Cokato High School in 1942.
For many years, she worked as an accountant in Wayzata.
Margaret married Charles Howe May 7, 1966. They made their home in Mound. Charles passed away Oct. 8, 2000.
Margaret moved to Parkview East in Northfield in November 2007.
She is survived by five stepchildren and their spouses: Dudley Martineau and Charles Mishek of Minneapolis, John Howe of Minneapolis, Tracey and Steve Lindquist of Hayward, WI, Timothy Howe of Excelsior, and Blaine and Heather Howe of Plymouth; nine grandchildren: Autumn (Scott), Zach (Nanci), Eleanor, York (Michele), Noah, Alex (Bridget), Josh, Danni, and MacKenzie; and five great-grandchildren: Tyler, Remi, Ashley, Christian, and Demario.
Margaret is further survived by two brothers and their wives, Robert and Jeanne Dahlin of Victoria, and Richard and Joanne Dahlin of Northfield; two sisters: Kathryn Wright of Vadnais Heights, and Maxine and husband James Christ of Duluth, GA; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents.
