Stefan P. Jaskowiak Obituary – 10/8/09


Stefan P. Jaskowiak, age 54, of Winsted, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in Waconia.

Stefan was born June 6, 1955, to Theodore and Ethel (Sadek) Jaskowiak.

He married the love of his life, Denise Fasching, July 29, 1978, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Paul, Jessica, and Matt.

Stefan worked at Bongards Creameries for over 31 years.

When he wasn’t working Stefan enjoyed karaoke, fishing, wrestling, old TV shows, shopping garage sales, gardening, Elvis, seasonal decorating, playing guitar and most of all, he enjoyed life.

Stefan was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore (Ethel) Jaskowiak; father-in-law Vincent Fasching; and brothers Teddy Jaskowiak, James Jaskowiak, and Wesley Boody.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Denise; sons Paul (Deidra) Jaskowiak, and Matt Jaskowiak; daughter Jessica (Lloyd) Eastling; grandchildren Justin Jaskowiak, Kailee Jaskowiak, and Annie Eastling; mother-in-law Anne Fasching; brothers Jerry (Connie) Jaskowiak, and Frank (LaDene) Boody, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Hesse was the celebrant. Special music was “Spirit in the Sky” and “Let It Be,” sung by Jason Dieter.

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Pallbearers were Kristopher Lillie, Jerry Jaskowiak, John Boody, Tracy Jaskowiak, Lester Eastling, and Tony Schwarze.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
