Kyle James Kleve, age 51, of St. Michael, died Saturday, Aug 15, 2009, after a brave battle against cancer.
He was born March 28, 1958, grew up in Richfield, and later moved to Howard Lake, where he finished high school, remaining in the area until 1991. Kyle then lived in Brooklyn Park until 1996, and has since resided at his current home in St. Michael.
He was part owner of the Lake Bowl in his early years, and has worked as a machinist since 1983.
Kyle believed in working hard and playing hard. He valued his family and friends, golfing, riding his Harley Davidson, playing on the lake, and traveling.
Kyle was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kleve; children, Holly Kleve, Christina Kleve, Joshua Kleve, Jeffrey (Linda) Rogers, and Tricia Brown; mother Evelyn Kleve; siblings Vernon (Charity) Kleve, Daniel (Julie) Kleve, and Robert Kleve; three grandchildren; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon J. Kleve; and niece Madeysen Kleve.
The funeral service took place Saturday, Aug 22 at 11 a.m. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. Interment followed at Howard Lake City Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Aug 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., and continued Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
