Marcella A. Kratzke

Marcella A. Kratzke, age 83, of Waconia, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.

Marcella was born March 9, 1925, in Watertown, the daughter of John and Emma (Biersdorf) Luebke. She was baptized April 12, 1925, and confirmed April 2, 1939, both by the Rev. William Schneider at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.

She was a graduate of Waconia High School.

Marcella was united in marriage to Warren G. Kratzke April 17, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by the Rev. Robert Heyne.

A loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Marcella was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Seniors for Christ and Trinity PTL years ago.

Marcella enjoyed singing, gardening, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; and father and mother, John and Emma Luebke.

Marcella is survived by her loving family: children and spouses, Linee and David Moldenhauer of Chaska, and Lyle Kratzke and Kathy Spencer of Saint Paul; grandchildren Jennifer and Jeff Ische, Daniel and Miranda Moldenhauer, Kevin and Colleen Moldenhauer, Nicholas Kratzke, and Max Kratzke; and great-grandchildren Elliott and Meghan Ische, and Randy and Abigail Moldenhauer.

She is further survived by sisters Irene Stahlke of Waconia, and Junia Hilgers of Waconia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joy Johnson of San Jose CA, LaVerne and Richard Mullen of Saint Paul Park, Faith and Charles Anderson of Norwood Young America, Earl Kratzke of Hydes Lake, and Aletha and Donald Haugen of St. Bonifacius; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service took place Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with visitation for two hours prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Phil Wagner officiated. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia.

Casket bearers were Jeff Ische, Daniel Moldenhauer, Kevin Moldenhauer, Nicholas Kratzke, Max Kratzke, and Thor Haugen.
