Emmett was born Nov. 12, 1924, to John and Josephine (Hausladen) Lynch in Hollywood Township.

He was united in marriage to Lorraine Swartzer Jan. 20, 1951, at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Delano.

Emmett was a longtime City of Watertown employee.

He was devout in his faith and was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.

Emmett loved to hunt, and trips “up to the Shack” or out west to Montana were something he loved to do. Hunting for any kind of game was a passion, as long as family and friends were part of the experience.

He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who will miss his big bear hugs. He took every one of his grandchildren fishing and taught most of them how to clean their own fish.
