Victor Ludwig Miller, age 90, of Howard Lake, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids.
Funeral services will take place Monday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Middleville Township, Annandale, with the Rev. Lynn Machula officiating. Ruth Goerke will be the organist, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Virgil, Kevin, Ted and Alan Miller, Steve Bonnick, and Dan Koosman.
Friends called Sunday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale; and there was a prayer service at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Victor was born Feb. 16, 1918, in Renville County to Ludwig and Martha (Boltz) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith April 9, 1933, by Pastor Kanning at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Victor married Ethel L. Sterriker Sept. 24, 1939, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and she preceded him in death Feb. 24, 2005.
Vic and Ethel were able to travel to throughout most of the United States, and to Europe and Australia.
Vic thoroughly enjoyed being a lifelong farmer. He also enjoyed crafts, woodworking, and restoring antique tractors and cars.
Victor is survived by his three children and their spouses, Virgil and Claudia Miller of Howard Lake, Darlene and James Bjelland of Mesa, AZ, and Kevin Miller and Sherri Larson of Howard Lake; four grandchildren, Ted (Susi) Miller, Jesse, Shay and Aidan Bjelland; a great-granddaughter, Destyne Miller; and a sister, Lydia Smith of California.
In addition to his wife, Ethel, Victor was preceded in death by five brothers, Leonard, Lloyd, Louis, Vernon, and Wilber.
Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
