Kenneth E. Ohm, age 75, of Jerome, MI, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 8, 2009, at his winter home in Bull Head City, AZ.
Kenneth was born Aug. 1, 1933. in Mayer, the son of Elmer and Alline (Zabel) Ohm.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Navy.
Ken married Marlene A. Lugibihl Aug. 13, 1955, in Pandora, OH, and she preceded him in death July 27, 2004.
Ken lived his early life in Mayer, and then lived in Pandora, OH for several years. He has resided in the Jerome, MI area since 1974.
He owned and operated Ken’s Marathon in Pandora, OH from 1963 to 1972, and a motel in Houghton Lake, MI from 1972 to 1974. He then owned and operated Larry’s Service Center from 1974 to 1984.
He is survived by four sons, Douglas (Paula) Ohm of Jerome, MI, Steven (Christina Schaffer) Ohm of Gaylord, MI, Craig (Karry) Ohm of Somerset Center, MI, and Kevin (Raina) Ohm of Pittsford, MI; his companion, Judy McClain of Jerome, MI; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Sharon) Ohm of Watertown; two sisters, Betty (Orville) Wilkens of Plato, and Sandra (Stan) Heldt of Mayer; his mother, Alline Ohm of Waconia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Marlene, Ken was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Dorothy (Ohm) (Hasse) Crowell.
Funeral services took place in Addison, MI.
