Richard A. “Dick” Pageau, age 69, of Montrose, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Delano.
He was born May 27, 1939, in Lebanon, NH, the son of Donald and Edna Messier Pageau.
Dick honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps.
Richard was joined in holy marriage to Gloria Ramthun March 26, 1987, in Mesa, AZ.
He was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church-Crawford Lake, and a life-long member and past commander of VFW Post 1901. Dick also belonged to the Delano American Legion.
Dick enjoyed golfing, gardening, grilling outside, and walking his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria “George” Pageau; three brothers; three sisters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister.
The funeral service took place Friday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Crawford Lake, with the Rev. Robert J. Hellmann officiating. David Farstad was the organist. Private interment took place in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, April 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and continued Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Casket bearers were Terry Knop, Jeff Knop, Michael Ramthun, Brian Manson, Curt Duske, and Jay Danielson.
The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo handled the arrangements.
