Argoldie A. “Goldie” Schubert, age 89, of Lester Prairie, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born Feb. 19, 1920, in Lester Prairie, the daughter of Adolph and Anna (Schmidt) Krienke. Argoldie was baptized March 14, 1920, at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by the Rev. Baumhoefener, and confirmed March 25, 1934 at the same church by the Rev. Schert.
Argoldie was united in marriage to Wilmer H. Schubert Oct. 18, 1939, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie with Rev. Schert officiating.
Argoldie had many activities she enjoyed during her lifetime including sewing, quilting, tending to her flowers, gardening, baking, and canning. She and Wilmer always enjoyed going dancing and listening to old tyme and country music.
Argoldie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; and brothers Arthur, Walter, and Victor Krienke.
She is survived by her loving family: sons and daughter-in-law Lowell and Valaria Schubert, and Ron Schubert, all of Delano; grandchildren Renae and Brian Clark, Brian and Jami Schubert, Jerry Schubert and special friend Kelly, Deborah and Tom Hall, Deanne and Shawn Meyers, Diane Schubert, and Bradley Schubert; and great-grandchildren Lily and Carson Clark.
Argoldie is further survived by sisters and brother-in-law Arsilvia and Elmer Loehrs of Mayer, and Rosilvia Redepenning of Norwood Young America; brother and sister-in-law Herbert and Betty Krienke of Hutchinson; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany with visitation for two hours prior to the service. The Rev. LeRoy J. LaPlant officiated. Interment was at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jerry Schubert, Brian Schubert, Brian Clark, Tom Hall, Shawn Meyers, Marlyn Loehrs, and Dan Krienke.
