Delbert M. Sexton Obituary – 3/22/09


Delbert Michael Sexton, age 78, of rural Howard Lake, died Sunday, March 22, 2009, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

He was born Feb. 4, 1931, in rural Mayer, the son of Clarence and Catherine Keefe Sexton.

Delbert was formerly employed for many years at Green Giant in Winsted, Cokato, and in Glencoe.

He enjoyed pitching horse-shoes.

Delbert was a faithful, lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

He is survived by his sisters: Eileen Pysick of Watertown, Rita (Donald) Johnson of LaCrosse, WI, and Patricia (Dennis) Neaton of Crystal; a sister-in-law, Ardis Sexton of Watertown; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dlebert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Catherine Sexton; brothers Marvin, Leo, and Erwin Sexton; sisters Lucille Sexton, and Dolores C. Keefe; a sister-in-law, Delores Sexton; and brothers-in-law Donald Keefe, and Lauren Pysick.

A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The concelebrants were Father Gerald E. Keefe and Father William A. Sprigler. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Visitation was Friday, March 27 at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4 to 8 p.m.

Casket bearers were Mark Keefe, Bradley Neaton, James Sexton, Phillip Sexton, Steven Henriksen, and David Pysick.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
