Edward Allen Tuman, age 63, of Cokato, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at home.
He was born April 21, 1945, in Litchfield, to Ervin and Agnes Tuman. Edward attended school in Litchfield through his childhood, and graduated from Litchfield High School.
Edward moved to Cokato, where he was a dedicated member of the Cokato Fire Department and ambulance crew. He served his community through every volunteer opportunity that arose.
Ed was a long-time employee at Airtex in Cokato.
He particularly enjoyed antique power shows, photography, NASCAR, and the outdoors.
Ed is survived by his brother, Bruce (Judy) Tuman; brother-in-law Paul Anderson; sons Charles (Renee) Tuman, and Craig Tuman, along with their mother, Karen Tuman; grandchildren Kyla, Samantha, and Regan; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Donna Anderson.
The funeral service was Saturday, Jan., 17 at 11 a.m. at Stockholm Lutheran Church of Cokato. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation took place Friday, Jan. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and continued Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
