Bernice Wiegand, age 67, of Osseo, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Buffalo Hospital after a short illness.
Bernice enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and vegetables. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Sarah (Darrin) Palm, and Wayne (Kelly) Wiegand; her special friend, Paul Lundberg; grandchildren Joshaua, Chadwick, Corey, Tiffany, and Megan; great-grandchildren Cara and Caley; her mother, Eleanor Birkholtz; her brothers, Paul (Linda), Tommy, Irvin (Sue), Ralph (Sara), Jimmy, Joey (Janet) and Dale; and her sisters, Caroline (Scott), Rita (Tim), Marlys (Jim), Mary Ann, Sally (Myron), Rosemary (Jerry) and Patty (Ralph).
Bernice was preceded in death by her father, Otto Birkholtz; her husband, Richard Weigand; a grandson, Sean Wiegand; her brother, Cletus; and her sister, Joanie.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m., and continued Thursday for one hour prior to Mass at the church.
