Charlene Dianne Anderson, age 49, of Winsted, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 20, 1960, in Watertown, the daughter of Leonard and Dianne (Pawelk) Noerenberg.
Charlene graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School in Mayer.
She was joined in holy marriage to Bruce Anderson July 30, 1994, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lester Prairie.
For many years, Charlene and Bruce owned and operated Caring Hearts Pet Service in Winsted.
Charlene enjoyed flower gardening, and had an extraordinary green thumb. She also enjoyed motorcycle rides, and spending time with furry friends. She was the Vikings’ biggest fan and enjoyed hosting parties and challenging friends and family to add new Vikings memorabilia to her “Vikes’ museum.”
Charlene was a member of Prairie Community Church UCC in Lester Prairie at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Anderson; daughters Christy (Joel) Karels and Courtney Sitz, both of Winsted; stepson David Anderson of US Navy-Kosovo; grandchildren Aleksey, Tucker, Rylan, and Joslyn Karels, and Cora Sitz; her mother and stepfather, Dianne and Chester Hoernemann of Lester Prairie; sisters Bonnie Roy of Waconia, Debbie (Jeff) Bickman of Winsted, and Sheri Noerenberg and fiancé Jake Kohler of Mound; other relatives and friends; and furry friends.
Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Noerenberg.
A memorial service took place Saturday, July 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. with Pastor Bill Baldwin officiating, preceded by a time of gathering beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
