Donald A. Anderson, age 70, of Maple Plain, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
Don taught and coached at Delano High School, and was an 18-year member of the Orono School Board, a Hennepin County Emergency Management director, and recently served as an environmental specialist for FEMA.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dierdre; sons Shahn (Wanda), and Tim (Jenny) Anderson; daughter Mindy (John) McQuillan; grandchildren Nikki, Jade, Sophie, and Kalli Anderson; sisters Janet Venem (Al Kaufman), and Barb (John) Thomson; and many loving nephews, relatives, and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hazel Anderson.
The funeral service took place Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Maple Plain.
Visitation was Friday, Nov. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rettinger Funeral Home in Long Lake, and continued Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
