Norman W. Arnold, age 95 of Annandale, passed away Monday Nov. 29, 2010 at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Funeral service will be Tuesday Dec. 7, 2010 at 11:30 a,m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale with the Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment is at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Burnsville.
Norman was born August 5, 1915 in Hollywood Twp., the son of Gustav and Clara Arnold. He was united in marriage to Edna L. Rudloff in Wayzata Feb. 28, 1940.
Norman loved being with his family whenever he could. He truly enjoyed winter and summer fishing and hunting. Norman worked hard on the farm, and at Farmhand Manufacturing Company in Hopkins. Listening to country and polka music was one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed dancing with Edna.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Clara Arnold; son Darryl Arnold; daughter and son-in-law Janice and Jim Johnson; grandchildren Brian Arnold, Shelli Arnold; great-grandsons Christofer Johnson and Daniel Condon; many sisters and brothers.
Norman is survived by his loving family: wife Edna; daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Jack Duda of Excelsior; son Dwayne Arnold and fiancee Lori Payne of Annandale; daughter-in-law Sandy Schmid; grandchildren Debra and Ken Condon, Brenda and Tony Heitz, Lori Duda, Lisa and Kevin Olson, Brad Arnold and special friend Erin, Charlene Baird and special friend John, Corrine and Brent LaRue, Dustyn Arnold, Derek Arnold and fiance Courtney; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine Japs of Pine River; brother Andy Arnold of Longville; sister-in-law
Viola Stender of New Germany; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
