Francis Keith Bjork, age 65, of Grove City, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at his home in Grove City.
He was born April 24, 1945, at the Community Hospital in Hutchinson, the son of Carl Joseph and Alice (Johnson) Bjork.
Francis was confirmed May 17, 1959, at the Stockholm Lutheran Church.
He attended the Dahl School and Cokato High School.
Francis was united in marriage to Susan Carlisle Oct. 8, 1966, in Nisswa.
During his life, Francis lived in Lester Prairie, Cokato, Eden Valley, and Grove City.
He worked for Schwartz Manufacturing in Lester Prairie for almost 30 years.
Francis enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, crafts, flea markets, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a snowmobiler, and raced in the Winnipeg, Canada race and smaller sanctions in the US. He also raced in demo cars and participated in tractor pulls.
Francis also enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Good Sams, where he made good friends on his travels. He was able to spend many years traveling throughout the western US, Mexico, and Canada with his wife and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Susan M. Bjork; sister Bev (and Ernie) Svanda of Silver Lake; brother-in-law Arnie (Mae) Eveniski; sister-in-law Mrs. (Rodney) Marlyce Bjork; nephew Jesse Lee Andreoff of Buffalo Lake; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and cousins; and his godchild, Angela Tashe.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronny Keith Bjork; and siblings Arlene Evinski and Rodney Bjork.
A celebration of Francis’ life took place Friday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, with visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church. Father Joseph Steinbeisser celebrated the Mass. Interment was at the Stockholm Lutheran Cemetery.
