Esther H. Constant, age 99, of Maple Plain, formerly of Lantana, FL, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, April 10, 2010, three weeks after celebrating her 99th birthday.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold E. Constant.
Esther is survived by five children, Diane (Carlo) Shefveland of Brooklyn Center, Lois (Roger) Seeger of Plymouth, Harold (Nancy) Constant Jr. of Flint, MI, Bob (Mary Lou) Constant of Lantana, FL, and Richard (Miyoko) Constant, of Honolulu, HI; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A remarkable woman who complained rarely, criticized never, and was fiercely loyal to those she loved, Esther’s smile and graciousness captured the hearts of those who knew her. Her positive attitude and love for the simple things of life was an example for all.
Esther leaves a legacy of contentment in any situation and complete trust in God. “Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30.
The funeral service was Friday, April 16 at 2 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, with visitation one our before the service. Interment was at Delano Public Cemetery.
