He was born Nov. 28, 1911, in Collinwood Township, Meeker County, the son of Olaf W. and Alma Josephine (Holmgren) Dahlman. He grew up in Collinwood Township, and attended the Collins District School. He graduated from the Dassel High School in 1937. Clifford was a lifetime member of Stockholm Lutheran Church, where he was both baptized and confirmed.

Clifford loved to spend time visiting with his family and friends. He was an avid reader, and liked to travel during the summer after the small grain harvest had been taken in.

He loved to tell stories, and could tell the local history of the Dassel and Collinwood area. Clifford enjoyed listening to the radio broadcast of the University of Minnesota Gophers basketball and football games.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. Family was important to him; he had a great heart and was a man who kept giving.

Clifford will be deeply missed by his family and his friends.
