Darlene June Dill, age 70, of Winsted, and formerly of Lester Prairie and Minneapolis, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born June 12, 1939, in Henderson, MN, the daughter of William and Hellen T. Mueller Teschendorf.
Darlene graduated from North High School in Minneapolis in 1957.
She was formerly employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Michael Thoennes for 16 years.
Darlene enjoyed putting puzzles together and counted cross stitching.
Throughout her life she was very active in her church as a church school leader, in the altar guild, and loved singing in and directing the choir.
Most recently, she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.
She was a loving a mother who will be missed by all who came to know her,
Darlene is survived by three sons: Mike (Shelly) Dill and Reed (Michelle) Dill, all of Maple Grove, and Chad (Amy) Dill of Shorewood; grandchildren Laura, Jonathan, Sarah; and Rachel, Andrew and Emma; special friend Ken Anderson of Watson; caregivers Frank and Terry Roufs of Winsted; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A memorial service took place Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie with the Rev. Eric Nelson officiating. Inurnment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie.
