Lorraine F. Duske, age 86, of Watertown, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the Elim Home in Watertown.
She was born Aug. 14, 1924, to Michael and Nellie (Cebulla) Farniok in Franklin Township.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Vernon Duske Oct. 27, 1948, at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church.
She was an active puzzle maker and enjoyed doing embroidery. Creating colored landscapes and pictures was also a serious pastime.
Lorraine was a homemaker most of her life, until she went to work at the Watertown School District in the school lunch program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; parents Michael and Nellie Farniok; sister Evelyn Kruzel; and brothers Ed, Clarence, and Raymond Farniok.
Lorraine is survived by her sisters, Mary Motzko and Eleanor Pearson; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, Aug. 25 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in rural Delano, with the Rev. Thomas Balluff officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home, with a 3:30 p.m. rosary and 6 p.m. prayer service, and continued Wednesday for one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
Casket bearers were Lorraine’s nephews: Chris Farniok, Correy Farniok, Gayle Farniok, Torrey Farniok, Bruce Farniok, and Kenneth Pearson.
Arrangements were by the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
