Harriet A. Good, age 88, of Norwood Young America, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the Elim Home in Watertown.
She was born May 1, 1922, in Danube, MN, the daughter of Walter and Alvina (Grabow) Fischer. Harriet was baptized June 11, 1922, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran in Danube; and confirmed at the same church May 10, 1936.
Harriet’s family was very important in her life; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1783 in Young America.
Harriet loved to go bowling whenever she had the opportunity.
She was a library aide at Central High School in Norwood for over 25 years.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alvina Fischer; brothers Delton and Gerald Fischer; and an infant sister.
She is survived by her loving family: sons and daughters-in-law Bruce and Marjorie Good of Deerwood, Galen and Marla Good of Cologne, and Terry and Cheri Good of Champlin; grandchildren Leah and Kevin Juhnke, Tom and Heather Good, Darrin and Brenda Good, Bob and Jill Good, Phil and Angie Good, Stephanie and Joe Griep, Courtney Good, and Taylor Good; great-grandchildren Brandon and Stephanie Timmins, Brittany Glass, Ryan Good, Nathan Good, Isaac Good, Taia Good, Adam Good, Ellie Good, Grant Good, Hannah Good, Emma Good, Natalie Griep; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service took place Friday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America with the Rev. David Winter officiating. There was visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was at Mau Memorial Cemetery in Young America.
Harriet’s grandchildren were her casket bearers: Leah Juhnke, Tom Good, Darrin Good, Bob Good, Phil Good, Stephanie Griep, Courtney Good, and Taylor Good.
